Program Qualifications

Habitat selects future homeowners for our homeownership program through three sets of criteria.

Need for Housing

We partner with families who have low to moderate incomes and who experience crowding, expensive rent, or unsafe conditions.

Willingness to Partner

All Habitat homeowners attend homebuyer education courses and invest partnership hours to help build homes.

Ability to Pay

Families must make between 30% - 60% Area Median Income (AMI). Your income level is based on the HUD guidelines and based on your family size. There are additional income and credit requirements in order to be eligible.
